Oxford Recorder Day 2024
A fun day of recorder playing at Sibford School, Oxford, led by Heidi Fardell Players who are not quite ready to join in a full NYRO day or have not reached the minimum grade standard are welcome to join us for the afternoon session.
The day is aimed at recorder players aged 8 to 25, with a playing standard from Grade 3 up to Diploma level. Applications from recorder teachers are also welcomed. Players who have not reached the required standard or are not ready for a full day's playing can attend the afternoon session only at a cost of £15.
There will be massed playing sessions, group work (according to playing standard) and tips on technique.
Come and be inspired, make new friends (or meet up with old friends) and have fun!
Cost: £35 for the full day (£15 for the afternoon only).
Teachers who bring 5 or more pupils can come for free!
Those coming for the whole day should bring a packed lunch. Squash and biscuits will be supplied at all break times.
Please note that parents will need to drop players off at 10 and return to the school at 3.30 for the play-through. We can't accommodate parents at the school during the day.
Final details will be sent out by email about one week before the event. Please bring all your recorders with you and a labelled music stand (unless the final details state that this is not required at this venue).
Those coming for the afternoon session only should aim to arrive at 1.30 p.m.
