London Recorder Day 2016

If you live in the London area, are aged between 8 and 25 and love playing the recorder, then we'd like to see you at our London Recorder Day at James Allen's Girls' School.

The day begins at 10 a.m. with a warm-up session and ends with a short informal concert  for families and friends from 3.30-4.00 p.m., featuring some of the pieces studied during the day.

The day is aimed at recorder players aged 8 to 25, with a playing standard from Grade 3 up to Diploma, and recorder teachers. You can book using the form below,

Players who have not reached this standard or are not ready for a full day's playing can attend the afternoon session for £10. Please book this directly with the administrator via an email to admin@nyro,org.uk.

There will be massed playing sessions, group work (according to playing standard) and tips on technique.

Come and be inspired, make new friends (or meet up with old friends) and have fun!

Cost: £25 for the full day (£10 for the afternoon only).

Teachers who bring 5 or more pupils can come for free!

Those coming for the whole day should bring a packed lunch.

Please bring a music stand with your name on it, plus all your recorders.

Those coming for the afternoon session only should aim to arrive at 1.30 p.m. and bring the £10 payment for the session.

Squash and biscuits will be supplied at all break times.

Please note that there will be no opportunity to audition for the Summer Course 2016 at this event.
