Recorder Player Wins Woodwind Final
Charlotte Barbour-Condini has become the first recorder player to win the woodwind final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year.
Thanks to the wonderful playing of Charlotte Barbour-Condini, the recorder is in the musical spotlight.
Charlotte, who has attended NYRO events, most recently the Oxford Playing Day in June 2010, won the woodwind category of the BBC Young Musician of the year!

The semi-final is on Saturday 12th May at 6 p.m. and the final is at the Sage in Gateshead on Sunday 13th May at 6 p.m. Both will be shown on BBC2. Everyone at NYRO will be supporting Charlotte and we have sent our best wishes to her.
