Landes-Jugend-Blockflötenorchester Baden-Württemberg will be joining NYRO GB for the 2014 Summer Course
We are delighted to confirm that around 35 students and 3 staff members from the Landes-Jugend-Blockflötenorchester Baden-Württemberg will be travelling from Germany to join us for the 2014 Summer Course at Bootham School, York.
This will be an exciting opportunity for our organisation and players to form strong links with young recorder players from Germany.
Sally Turner, who conducts the Landes-Jugend-Blockflötenorchester Baden-Württemberg, founded the orchestra in 2007 with some colleagues. They are now doing very well and are supported by the Landesmusikrat Baden-Württemberg (a body in charge of music in their county). Baden-Württemberg is a very large county in Germany with about 11 million inhabitants. The main town is Stuttgart, but they have players from all over the county: Freiburg, Konstanz, Mannheim, Karlsruhe etc.
