Birmingham Recorder Day 2019
Young recorder players and teachers are invited to come and try a day of recorder playing with NYRO, led by one of our experienced tutors. You can audition for the Summer Course 2020 at this event.
This year's Birmingham Recorder Day is being held at Priory School, Birmingham, B15 2UR
The day is aimed at recorder players aged 8 to 25, with a playing standard from Grade 3 up to Diploma level. Applications from recorder teachers are also welcomed. Players who have not reached the required standard or are not ready for a full day's playing can attend the afternoon session only at a cost of £10.
There will be massed playing sessions, group work (according to playing standard) and tips on technique.
Come and be inspired, make new friends (or meet up with old friends) and have fun!
Cost: £35 for the full day (£10 for the afternoon only).
Teachers who bring 5 or more pupils can come for free!
Those coming for the whole day should bring a packed lunch. Squash and biscuits will be supplied at all break times.
Final details will be sent out by email about one week before the event. Please bring all your recorders with you and a labelled music stand (unless the final details state that this is not required at this venue).
Those coming for the afternoon session only should aim to arrive at 1.30 p.m. and bring the £10 payment for the session with them.
If you are auditioning for the Summer Course 2020, a separate e-mail will be sent detailing the audition requirements.
To apply for the event, use the form below. If you are applying for the afternoon only, cancel out of the payment screen and you will receive payment instructions with your confirmation email.
