Very Sad News Reached Us This Weekend
Everyone at NYRO was saddened to hear of the death of Colin Touchin, our Founder and Musical Advisor. Colin was largely responsible for the creation of NYRO and was its Musical Director for many years.
Colin was an inspirational teacher and conductor, as well as a highly respected composer. NYRO has premiered many of his compositions, including his Sinfonietta, which features on our 2022 Summer Concert CD and was especially written by Colin for our 20th birthday. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by all who had contact with him on NYRO courses.
