Rosemary Byde

NYRO Treasurer

Rosemary Byde

Rosemary keeps track of all the money! Because NYRO is a part of a charity it is really important that this is done accurately with accounts submitted to the Charity Commission annually basis. Each year she prepares a budget, which is later compared to what actually happened as part of our planning for future years.

She learnt to play the recorder at school with an inspirational teacher. Having played in several school groups and the Birmingham Schools’ Recorder Sinfonia, she peaked at grade 8 but stopped playing for a while at university. She now meets with a small group of like-minded friends every week to play a range of music and catch up on the latest gossip!

When not working on NYRO, her ‘proper’ job is as a manager within a Risk function at RBS. She lives in Edinburgh and packs her free time with as much as possible; as well as playing the recorder (of course!), favourite activities include learning Italian, veggie cookery, cycling, swimming, running, adventure racing and generally being outdoors.
